昆山市退役军人书法篆刻艺术盛宴，传承华章展风采 昆山市退役军人事务局 recently organized a grand event, "昆山市退役军人书法篆刻艺术盛宴，传承华章展风采" on April 28th afternoon. The purpose of this event was to showcase the Chinese cultural heritage and to guide retired military personnel in learning calligraphy and engraving techniques. City Retired Military Personnel Bureau Deputy Director A Yu Weifang attended the event and delivered a speech.

The highlight of the event was that it had invited renowned calligrapher Ma Jiaxiong as the guest lecturer. Ma Jiaxiong is currently serving as Vice Chairman of Zhang Hanmo Gold Stone Engraving Research Association, founder of Kunshan Tinglin Printing Society, honorary consultant, member (Beijing headquarters) of China Bank Art Association, artistic consultant for Kunshan Art Training Industry Association, and honorary dean of Kunshan Shixi Academy.

During the lecture session, various aspects related to studying seal carving molds, brush strokes for drawing patterns with brushes, types of cutting techniques used in engraving tools were discussed by Ma Jiaxiong. The retired military personnel who attended expressed their newfound appreciation for the art form after participating in these sessions.

They gained a deeper understanding not only about the beauty of engraved artworks but also about profound philosophical ideas behind traditional Chinese culture and art forms like seal carving. In future endeavors to promote national traditions and enrich spiritual lives among retired military personnel while contributing towards building a civilized city in Kunshan will be continued by City Retired Military Personnel Bureau.
