昆山市退役军人书法篆刻艺术盛宴，传承华章展风采 昆山市退役军人事务局 recently organized a book art exhibition, showcasing the artistic prowess of retired military personnel. The event, titled "Transmission of Seal Carving: A Showcase of Artistic Splendor," aimed to introduce participants to the intricacies of Chinese calligraphy and seal carving. The lecture was led by renowned artist Ma Jiaxiong, who has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the field.

Ma Jiaxiong is an accomplished scholar in the realm of gold and stone seal carving research, holding positions such as vice president at Zhang Hanmo Gold and Stone Seal Carving Research Association and founder of Kunshan Tinglin Printmaking Society. He serves as an honorary advisor to various prestigious organizations including China Bank Artists' Association (Beijing) and Kunshan City Art Training Industry Association.

During the lecture, attendees were guided through topics such as learning font templates, brush strokes for drawing patterns, types of knife techniques used in engraving seals, and understanding ink stamps. Retired military personnel expressed newfound appreciation for the beauty of seal art after attending the session. They also gained deeper insights into Chinese characters' cultural significance.

The Kunshan City Retirees Affairs Bureau plans to continue promoting national traditions through such events while enriching retirees' spiritual lives with cultural activities that contribute significantly towards developing a civilized city image for Kunshan.
