昆山市退役军人书法篆刻艺术盛宴，传承华章展风采 昆山市退役军人事务局 recently organized a grand event, "昆山市退役军人书法篆刻艺术盛宴，传承华章展风采" on April 28th afternoon. The purpose of this event was to showcase the Chinese cultural heritage and to guide retired military personnel in learning calligraphy and seal carving techniques. City Retired Military Personnel Bureau Deputy Director A Yu Weifang attended the event and delivered a speech.

The activity invited Master Ma Jiaxiong to come on stage and give lectures on calligraphy and seal carving knowledge. Master Ma is currently the vice president of Zhang Hanmo Gold Stone Seal Carving Research Association, one of the founders of Kunshan Tinglin Printing Society, honorary consultant, member (Beijing headquarters) of China Bank Artists Association, art consultant for Kunshan Art Training Industry Association, honorary dean of Kunshan Shixi Academy.

During the lecture, participants learned about various aspects such as studying font patterns, drawing lines with brushes, types of knife skills and seal knowledge. Retired military personnel who attended expressed that through their studies they had gained new insights into the beauty of engraving art and had deeper understanding into profound philosophical thoughts related to Chinese characters culture.

In future plans, Kunshan Retired Military Personnel Bureau will continue to promote national traditional culture by enriching spiritual lives for retired military personnel in order to make contributions towards fully promoting construction projects for civilized cities in Kunshan.
