全国政协委员、雅昌文化集团董事长万捷先生 recently pointed out that while China has made significant progress in emphasizing arts education in recent years, there is still much room for improvement. In particular, non-art majors at undergraduate level rarely have the opportunity to take "University Art" courses as part of their general education curriculum. Most of the work done by schools focuses on improving job prospects after graduation, completely neglecting the importance of art education in students' personal growth. Therefore, Mr. Wan Jie suggested that universities should prioritize enhancing students' visual literacy by incorporating "University Art" courses into their basic curriculum, aiming to cultivate students' aesthetic awareness and inner cultivation.

The importance of arts education was highlighted by Lu Xun who said that "art can support morality and although the purpose of art may not always align with morality, its influence is sufficient to shape people's nature and preferences." Mr. Wan Jie emphasized that art as a fundamental course in quality education mainly arouses students' love for beauty and enjoyment through its aesthetic appeal and atmosphere. This encourages students to enjoy art classes and cultivates their sense of aesthetics.

In today's society where knowledge drives development, artistic literacy will become an essential component of talent quality; aesthetics will also become a focal point for research in cultural fields. Mr. Wan Jie believes that there is no tree without roots nor water without sources - cultivating aesthetic literacy ultimately requires our joint efforts to develop art education. China's foundational art education will undoubtedly lead the times with its elegance and rich educational achievements, contributing a brilliant chapter to the history of global art education.

Mr.Wan Jie further stressed that since ancient times it has been said,"there is no tree without roots nor water without sources". Cultivating aesthetic literacy ultimately requires our joint efforts to develop art education. The foundation laid down by Chinese traditional culture forms an important basis for modern aesthetics.Mr.WanJie believed that China's foundational art education would undoubtedly lead the times with its elegance & rich educational achievements ,contributing a brilliant chapter to the history of global arts Education.

By incorporating these elements into university curricula ,China could potentially foster future generations capable not only academically but also aesthetically enriching them .This would enable them better appreciate cultural diversity & enhance cross-cultural understanding thus playing a vital role in shaping up harmonious global community.

Mr.WanJie concluded his speech saying,"arts are not just about painting or sculpture they are reflection 0f human thought& feeling .They provide us insight into various aspects 0f life& help us understand ourselves better". He called upon all educators & policymakers across nation t join hands together t promote this cause so we can make this world more beautiful place t live .

Thus concludes his passionate appeal towards fostering greater emphasis on arts & culture within higher learning institutions which he hopes would contribute significantly towards creating harmonious global community enriched aesthetically culturally diverse vibrant!
