2017《客厅》系列,是雷在沉寂的这些年里,对生活的感悟与思考。在她的创作思想阐释中所涉及到的“天机”论断,实际上与古之“圣人立象以尽意”的说辞是一脉相承的。艺术家一旦开口说画,艺术表现便失去了无限性和可能性,形象思维的想象空间也会被压缩到逻辑思维范畴内,更何况人的意识境界、情感体验、以及纯熟的技艺往往是言不能尽意的。

雷的《客厅》系列正是从心理分析出发,在世界之内探索世界,力图构建一个与心灵相通的奇幻之境。她将自己融入到表象之中,仿佛是把想象揉碎后重组起来,穿越了时间和空间,最终创造出原始单纯、梦幻寂静的心象世界 。

这组作品是对艺术语言、形式媒介的尝试和探讨。从雷的艺术发展逻辑看,作品面貌既在意料之外,又在情理之中。它不同于遥远神话,不同于西方表现性绘画图式效果,也有别于自然论指导下创作出的意象油画。雷沿着《向日葵》、《危生素》系列创作得到经验启示,将再现形式、表现手法、构成关系、意象原则结合起来,用属于自己的语言讲述自己的故事。

有人认为体现自由选择两大选项解构与建构,我认为那只是站在造型角度上的说法。雷通过心象建立超越形体限制直接进入心理层面,从而获得了心物统一可能性。《客厅》系列作品,就是以椅子为基点,在图像外的心理空间生成联想类比形象。

雷所构建的心像浮现我们的头脑,是完形心理学应用,是中国传统哲学在造型中的投射。这由内到外一种审视,我们有时甚至觉得更近乎精神分析。如此一来,艺术家工作便成了如何用形态语言达到情理平衡,以及如何有效控制调整视觉心理落差了。

细心观者可能关注到了一个有趣现象,《客厅》系列绚丽多彩却无关浪漫,那些涂满个性气息符号高贵冷艳,更像是洗尽铅华后生命存在状态还原。不出现人物形,但我们却能时刻感受到审美主体"心"存在,它可能来自记忆梦境冲突或者亲身体验。

In contemporary art creation field, the series of works by Lei is unique. Its construction differs from the absurdity of Chu Ci and does not rely on the fantasy of mythology. Instead, it is derived from real life in a collision of multiple cultures. The images used are symbolic and have connotations.

Air and reality are an ancient philosophical relationship in China. Aestheticians such as Zhong Baihua consider air to be a spiritual entity that connects with substance. When the mind is still and observes, it achieves inner enrichment and freedom.

The chair gives inspiration to Lei's work; she tests her spiritual state through it. It serves as a mirror that projects herself onto it and reveals her psychological process.

Lei hopes for viewers to engage with her creations, making their thoughts part of the composition itself.

Each piece in this series tells a story with philosophical implications while maintaining connections between symbolic images based on mysterious relationships.

The appreciation mode constructed by Lei aims at understanding artistic experiences differently. This approach not only highlights individuality but also emphasizes value judgments.

Through artworks that convey personal experiences from various perspectives like flowers, fruits, animals or mushrooms symbolizing different elements within our lives—water lilies evoke memories or associations related to birth; water forms evoke feelings about life's beginning—the viewer can connect these symbols with their own experiences creating diverse interpretations reflecting their unique backgrounds.

These paintings serve as windows into Lei's journey over recent years showcasing both self-discovery through reflection upon daily encounters alongside progress made during concurrent learning periods—a balance between enjoyment & effort achieved thus far—a starting point for more commitment & breakthroughs ahead
