艺术家的“椅子”：客厅中的心象世界

2017年，《客厅》系列是雷在沉寂的岁月里对生活深刻感悟与思考的体现。在她的创作思想阐释中，所提及的“天机”论断，与古代哲人立象以尽意的智慧相通。艺术家一旦言传于画，其艺术表现便失去了无限可能性的自由和想象空间，更何况人类意识、情感体验以及技艺之精湛往往难以言表。

《客厅》系列正是从心理分析出发，在内外探索世界，力图构建一个与心灵相通的奇幻境界。她将自己融入到表象之中，如同把想象揉碎后重组，穿越时间和空间，最终创造出原始单纯、梦幻寂静的心象世界。

这组作品是对艺术语言、形式媒介的尝试与探讨。从雷的艺术发展逻辑看，这些作品既意料之外，又情理之中。它不同于遥远神话，不同于西方绘画传统，也有别于自然主义指导下的油画创作。雷沿着《向日葵》、《危生素》系列经验启示下，她冲破了风格流派对创新带来的束缚，将再现形式、表现手法、构成关系及意象原则结合起来，用属于自己的语言讲述自己的故事。

有人认为体现艺术创作自由两大选项为解构与建构，我认为那只是站在艺术造型角度上的说法。雷通过心象建立超越形体限制直接进入心理层面，从而获得了心物统一可能性。这就是以椅子为基点，在图像外的心理空间生成联想类比形态。

雷所构建的心象浮现在我们的头脑，是完形心理学应用，是中国传统哲学在造型中的投射。这是一种由内而出的审视，我们有时甚至觉得更近乎一种精神分析。如此一来，艺术家所做工作便成了如何用形状语言达到情与理平衡，以及如何有效控制视觉心理落差。

细致观者可能注意到一个有趣现 象，《客厅》系列绚丽多彩却无关浪漫，那些涂满个性气息符号高贵而冷艳，更像是洗尽铅华后的生命存在状态还原。不见人物形像，但我们却能时刻感受到审美主体“心”的存在，它来自记忆，或梦境，或冲突，或亲身体验。

在当代创作领域，《客厅》系列独特其处，它们不是《楚辞》的荒诞怪异，也不是西方神话逍遥自由，而是在多元文化碰撞下，从现实提取具有隐喻和象征特征图像元素。

"Guest Room" defines an imaginative range like a condensed life stage, performing infinite possibilities. The chair's form and pattern choice is the artist's interest selection and attitude towards life or future contemplation. In fact, our time is mostly spent on chairs; thus the chair image is a direct presentation of living conditions.

The works' intent to create an artistic experience understanding mode are unique in contemporary art creation. This mode not only represents the work's uniqueness but also its significant value.

From the perspective of artistic appreciation, Lei’s works aim to build an understanding model for experiencing art. This model relies on dialogue between imagination and reality. When appreciating these pieces, we use our hearts to feel and compare with memories; we interpret symbols from personal experiences: some see comedy while others see tragedy; some read myths while others read fairy tales.

Lei’s "chair" series presents her own creative journey through her artwork as she reflects upon her own values system over time. Her growth as an artist has been influenced by various experiences in learning about new lifestyles, fashion trends, academic ideas, moral standards etc., all of which have been reflected upon by herself before establishing a set of ethical principles that are true to herself.

Lei is a meticulous artist who prefers expressing life encounters through painting. The "Guest Room" series serves as a window into both recent heart-searching journeys and concurrent studies & reflections – it can be said that she enjoys this self-satisfaction & delightfulness with clear intentions & comfortable pace.

Of course more perseverance & breakthroughs await us in this long-lasting water flow called life
