克莱尔·特伯莱（Claire Tabouret）作为法国当代艺术界的新星，在2017年上海余德耀美术馆举办的个人展览“克莱尔·特伯莱：伊卡洛斯之舞”中，展现了她独具一格的艺术风格。紧接着，她在毕加索（Pablo Picasso）的故居吉索尔波舍鲁工作室内进行了第二部分展览，“克莱尔·特伯莱：你的无动于衷让我落泪”，这次展览更是与毕加索本人的创作空间相呼应。

在这次展览中，特伯莱首次使用石膏材料创作雕塑作品，并通过这些作品探讨摔跤运动员世界中的矛盾与焦虑。这两尊抱抱的人像雕塑《抑制》（2018）象征着身体上的冲突和压迫感，这种主题贯穿于她对摔跤运动员的所有刻画之中。同时，展示了一系列精选的雕塑、纸质作品以及一幅绘画，这些作品在波舍鲁教堂和毕加索工作室之间交替展示，让观众体验到了双重意义。

她的纸质作品全为单版画（monotype），每一次创作都充满了偶然性和反复性的探究。她会在透明玻璃上涂抹油墨，然后用纸吸取部分油墨，再涂上另一层，从而形成一种图像语言，与她的绘画有机结合。在这个过程中，她不断地提问并挑战偶然性或刻意重复。

生于1981年的克莱尔·特伯萊，现在既生活又工作于巴黎和洛杉矶。她以描绘成群结队的青少年、化妆女孩以及历史人物等肖像著称，如艾格尼丝·马丁、罗伯特·瓦尔泽等人。通过覆盖和隐匿，she explores the theme of "the present" and questions the nature of identity through her works.

As Thévenin Dalton puts it, Tabouret's artistic creations "establish a tension between classical art, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Fauvism, Realism, Modernism and Postmodernism - seeking a continuous thread while emphasizing and dissolving the boundaries between styles." In her figurative paintings, drawings and sculptures she continually examines issues of identity and observes childhood with its mysteries as well as individuality within groups. Her work has been included in group exhibitions such as "By Fire: Ceramic Works".
